Excursion description
The Atacama Region is not only characterized by being part of the Atacama Desert, having in its Andes a landscape of beauty as astonishing as it is overwhelming, the highest volcanoes in the world and offering extraordinary and unforgettable images such as the flowering desert, but also on its coast it has the BahÃa Inglesa Formation that particularly clearly exposes Tertiary geological processes (Cenozoic Era, from 65 million years ago), as well as one of the most formidable paleontological deposits in South America, a natural heritage of Atacama that through an open museum shows fossil remains of vertebrates that also allow us to learn about the marine fauna that inhabited these coasts since 8 million years, many of them already extinct such as sea sloths, different types of seals, dolphins, marlins, rays and sharks, among them the gigantic Megalodon that measured 16 mts. long, as well as a great diversity of penguins and other birds as emblematic as the Pelagornis chilensis, a bird endemic to Chile and one of the largest that has ever existed capable of flying, measuring up to 6 mts. long with its wings open.

Minimum value
Because the excursion is private and therefore exclusive for each group, in order to carry out the itinerary, a minimum total value of CLP 150.000 must be considered.
Recommendations
The park is outdoors and exposed to the sun, so it is recommended to bring water for personal use, sunglasses, sunscreen, trekking shoes or similar, and ideally a hat.
Policy of postponement and cancellation of reservations
Our bookings materialize well in advance, which normally causes our schedule to fill up in advance and no longer admit the entry of new ones. For this reason, bookings may be postponed at no additional cost if the postponement is made at least 60 days before the start of the program. In this case, the payment made as confirmation will remain intact for the next date. Bookings that wish to be canceled will have a 100% refund of the payment as long as their cancellation is made at least 90 days in advance; If the cancellation is made between 90 and 60 days, the refund will be 50%. After that period there will be no right to refund.
